Gold prices in Pakistan jumped sharply on Saturday, with 24-karat gold rising by Rs2,100 per tola, the All Pakistan Sarafa Gems and Jewellers Association (APSGJA) reported.
The new rate for 24K gold per tola is now Rs409,878, a notable increase from the previous day.
Similarly, the price of 10 grams of 24K gold rose by Rs1,801 to Rs351,404. Ten grams of 22K gold also increased by Rs1,651, reaching Rs322,132.
International Gold Prices Also Rise
The increase in local gold prices comes as international gold rates climbed by $21 per ounce, hitting $3,886. Analysts say the rise is driven by global market uncertainty, currency changes, and investors seeking safe-haven assets.
Silver Prices See Gains Too
Silver prices also went up in Pakistan.
- 24K silver per tola rose by Rs57 to Rs4,896.
- 10 grams of silver increased by Rs49, now at Rs4,197.
On the international market, silver gained $0.57, reaching $47.97 per ounce.
