Pakistan’s Commercial Mission in Jeddah has stepped up its trade efforts this year, organizing investment summits, exhibitions, and business forums that have strengthened ties with Saudi investors under the “Vision 2030” plan.

Documents obtained by this reporter show that the 1st and 2nd Pakistan Investment Opportunities Summits and Smart Expos, held in May and November 2024, attracted Saudi investors from tourism, aviation, and construction sectors.

The momentum continued with the “Made in Pakistan” Exhibition in February 2025. The event displayed a wide variety of products, including clothing, auto parts, and processed food.

It was combined with the Pak–Saudi Business Forum, which brought together more than 500 top-level participants, including senior ministers and investment officials.

The mission also organized a 13-member delegation from the Rice Exporters Association of Pakistan (REAP).

They met with major Saudi retail chains like Danube, Panda, and Manuel. During the visit, a Biryani Festival highlighted Pakistani rice and spices, earning praise from Saudi guests and foreign diplomats alike.

Saudi buyers have also returned the favor by attending major trade events in Pakistan, such as FoodAg 2024, TEXPO 2024, and HEMS 2025, showing growing trust and confidence between the two countries.

The Commercial Section handled six trade disputes involving shipment delays and payments.

Most of these cases were resolved smoothly through cooperation between business chambers, which officials say has increased trust among companies.

By combining business-to-business matchmaking with support for exporters and help in resolving disputes, the Jeddah Mission has gone beyond traditional trade promotion.

Its new approach focuses on specific sectors, supporting exporters directly, and engaging investors personally—a strategy seen as key for diversifying Pakistan’s exports and strengthening its presence in the Saudi market.
