Pakistan’s exports to the United States in Q1 FY2025-26 grew by 9%, reaching $1.59 billion.

Trade with Europe continued on a steady trend, reflecting the confidence overseas buyers have in Pakistani commodities, according to the latest figures released by the Export Promotion Bureau (EPB).

The U.S. remained Pakistan’s largest single export destination, led by textiles, apparel, and home textile products.

Exports to Spain jumped 14%, and other destinations, including France, Poland, and Sweden, also saw growth, highlighting the country’s resilience in Western markets.

Exports to China and other Asian trading partners held up relatively well despite global supply chain shifts.

Although trade data showed a modest slowdown, officials at the Trade Development Authority of Pakistan (TDAP) expect trade in this region to pick up in the coming months as new export deals under regional frameworks come into effect.

Pakistan’s strategy to diversify its export base is beginning to show results.

Exports to Africa and the Americas are increasing and are expected to grow further as European demand for sustainable and high-quality textiles strengthens.

Textiles and garments continue to lead export performance, with strong gains in bedlinen, hosiery, and women’s apparel — the latter rising 46% in September alone.

“Pakistan’s exporters have proven highly adaptive — not only maintaining markets but also expanding into new product lines,” a TDAP spokesman said.

Industry analysts attribute this growth to better availability of energy, improved logistics, and smoother trade facilitation at ports.

With new trade deals under negotiation and the government pushing for further diversification, Pakistan is well-positioned to benefit from global sourcing trends and rising demand for sustainable and socially responsible products.
